Mlungisi, like thousands of other South Africans was involved in the struggle for liberation for South Africa.  It was through this enlightened struggle that he was detained on numerous occasions according to the apartheid inspired terrorism act and the emergency regulations.

He is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Business Administration with New Port University.  He also serves as a Director in Sakhisizwe Holdings, Vukile Properties, Director Signs, Combo Signs, Vula Communications, and Emerald Safari Resorts.
