Local schools benefit from initiative

[07.02.08]Tsokolibane Primary School in Evaton and Barrage Primary School in Vanderbijlpark were recently identified by the Sedibeng District Municipality as schools that require much needed learning materials in order to afford their pupils the best opportunity at academic achievement.

The Sedibeng District Council, represented by the MMC for Community Services, Clr Maipato Tsokolibane, together with Timba Consulting, represented by Mr. Sandile Nkosi, visited both schools to officially hand over learning materials on 7 February 2008 in the presence of the Principals and pupils of the schools and the Gauteng Department of Education.

This will become an annual programme and it is envisaged that many more needy schools will be assisted by this initiative over the coming years.
