Sedibeng Gears Up for 2010

[27.06.07] Sedibeng’s preparations for 2010 are well and truly under way as the District Municipality prepares to launch its 2010 Strategy on 8 August 2007. The Municipality has developed a draft 2010 strategy and is currently undertaking consultations with various focus groups in preparation for the 8 August launch.

On 27 June 2007, Chief Director in the Gauteng Provincial Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Mr. Ivor Hoff addressed a focus group of hoteliers and representatives of local tourism associations on the Provincial strategy for 2010. A presentation was also made on the benefits of South Africa’s hosting of Soccerex for the next three years in Johannesburg.

Complimenting the departmental inputs were representatives from MATCH, the official Fifa appointed agency handling all ticketing and accommodation.
